CANNONBALL® ONE LAP OF AMERICA RACE
 BEREA, Ohio - (April 2005) - CORSA Performance®, an engineering and manufacturing company that specializes in high performance stainless steel exhaust
products for the automotive industry, is again a featured sponsor of the Tire RackTM Cannonball® One Lap of America presented by Car and Driver™ race taking place April 29 - May 7, 2005.
For the third year in a row, CORSA Performance will supply the championship trophies presented to winners of the multi-state contest.
"Participating in the legendary Cannonball One Lap of America event is an honor, and a lot of fun," said Jim Browning, Sr., president and CEO, CORSA
Performance. "The challenging and unique race draws a large number of spectators, both in person and via televised coverage. Our sponsorship of the
award trophies is a great way to promote the CORSA Performance brand and show support for the drivers."
As part of their sponsorship deal, CORSA Performance decals are featured on
all participant's vehicles. Also, company banners are posted, marketing materials are distributed at the Cannonball's seven track locations, and CORSA
Performance is promoted throughout the official Cannonball One Lap of America website at www.onelapofamerica.com.
Additionally, CORSA Performance personnel attend the final event of the Cannonball race, taking part in the awards ceremony. "The dedication of the
drivers competing in this event is inspiring and we know those using our exhaust systems will enjoy a drone-free cruise with a great performance sound during the
weeklong event," said Browning. "They've been driving literally non-stop for almost eight days, and to greet the winners as they cross the finish line is really an exciting moment."
In the early 1970s, Brock Yates, then senior editor of Car and Driver Magazine, created the now infamous Cannonball Sea-to-Shining-Sea Memorial Trophy
Dash; a flat out, no-holds-barred race from New York City to Redondo Beach, Calif. In 1992, Yates redesigned the event, creating the Cannonball One Lap of
America: a nearly twenty-four-hour a day driving marathon with competition taking place on race tracks throughout the country. The event is one of endurance and vehicle preparation. No support crews are allowed.
