"This exhaust was perfect for my '22 Escalade. Startup is loud but it does tone down when idling which is great as I make a lot of calls in the car. Even though it tones down on idle, outside the vehicle, you can still hear the rumble. When stepping on the accelerator, the note is perfect and can get pretty loud!" - Tre

90 Years

Nearly 90 years have passed since Chevrolet launched the Suburban. Debuting in 1935 as the Chevrolet Carryall Suburban, the Suburban as it’s known today, has been a constant in the GM SUV line-up. While many things have changed with the Suburban in the past 90 years, one thing remains, the love affair Americans have with the Full-Size SUV.

Today, GM’s line-up of SUVs has many more models than it had 90 years ago and includes the Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Yukon XL, Escalade and Escalade ESV, each model carving out a niche in the American full-size SUV segment. Featuring a powerful engine, generous space, and quiet spacious cabins, these SUVs have moved from utilitarian to utopian becoming a staple of the American garage for families everywhere. Equally loved by both men and women, GM’s SUVs are everywhere and with the performance and creature comforts available in the most recent (2021+ model year) GM’s full-size SUVs show no sign of losing popularity.

Featuring a robust engine line-up including both 5.3L and 6.2L V8 options, the full-size SUVs perform the task of hauling family members, boats, campers or trailers with ease. Each engine easily produces enough horsepower and torque to perform admirably whether daily driving, passing slower vehicles on the freeway, transporting the soccer team or hauling a camper to that favorite getaway destination.

To build a well-rounded vehicle suited to a variety of tasks and family transportation, GM equipped the latest Full-Size SUVs with an innovative engine technology “Dynamic Skip-fire” allowing the Full-size SUVs to sip gas, improving fuel economy while cruising by, deactivating cylinders, while instantly re- activating all 8 cylinders when more power is needed. This innovative technology does a fantastic job of boosting MPG’s but creates a complex firing sequence that is a nightmare for an exhaust system to handle.

To resolve the exhaust riddle, GM added valves into the exhaust system and combined them with a heavy packed muffler that effectively quiets the beastly V8 engine. In every driving mode, start-up, acceleration or cruising the stock muffler solution is whisper quiet and inaudible. While the stock system creates a quiet driving experience effectively managing the harsh tones that would otherwise be created by the “Dynamic Skip Fire” engine technology the airflow activated valves and traditional packed muffler technology effectively strangles the V8 engine by creating a restrictive air path.

Enter CORSA’s Catback Performance Exhaust Solution. Development of the current generation GM Full- Size SUV catback exhaust assortment began in late 2020 and commenced in October of 2021. After analyzing numerous driving conditions and designing multiple muffler solutions, CORSA engineers have designed a valve-free system that delivers that same quiet in-cabin experience while also delivering aggressive exhaust notes under acceleration. As the originators of No Drone exhaust technology and after 30 years developing exhaust systems featuring CORSA’s proprietary RSC(R) technology, CORSA’s engineers were able to resolve the exhaust puzzle through precision acoustic tuning of the muffler.

CORSA’s performance exhaust line-up features solutions for each of the V8 equipped GM Full-Size SUVs (Tahoe, Yukon, Yukon Denali, Escalade, Suburban, Yukon XL, Escalade ESV) and their unique exit configurations. Every CORSA Performance exhaust system for the Full-Size SUV family features 3.0”-3.5”, 304 Stainless Steel Construction, A straight-through RSC(R) No Drone muffler, No Valves and comes available in your choice of tip configurations including Polished and Black PVD coating and Stock bezel exit. Each system was Dyno-tested and proven to deliver significant increases in horsepower and torque. (up to 20% below the curve)

“By removing the stock valves located in exhaust system and using our acoustic technology to resolve harsh muffler tones, we were able to greatly enhance the airflow of the exhaust system allowing the SUVs to breath more easily and greatly increasing performance” said CORSA engineer Jason Biter.

CORSA’s current generation Full-Size SUV catback exhaust line-up will launch to market no later than November and quickly be available for purchase on the CORSA Performance website and at your favorite automotive retailers nationwide.
